I had Kesar mutton biryani, roti with Mutton malai paya & Dum ka kheema. For lunch I had kesar mutton biryani. It had good saffron flavour. It had 5-6 mutton pieces which were soft, tender and yummy. It felt like a pretty good Lucknow style biryani. For breakfast I had tandoori roti and rumali roti with malai mutton paya and dum ka kheema. The malai mutton paya had really tender soft paya pieces. It had very good umami flavour. Along with roti it was very yummy and definitely a very good try! The dum ka kheema was good. I would have liked a bit more flavour in it though. Overall the service and ambience were good. One of the must try places in Hyderabad!

See all on GoogleHotel Nayab is one of those old city places that carries a lot of history with it, been around since the Nizam's era which is pretty impressive. That legacy alone brings in a huge crowd and keeps the name alive till today. It's open all day and all night which is actually a big plus, especially if you're craving biryani at odd hours. Though at night you have to enter from the back side which can feel a bit inconvenient if you don't know about it beforehand. Prices are reasonable, won't burn a hole in your pocket, which is probably another reason why it stays so packed most of the time. Tables are almost always full and finding a seat can be a real struggle, especially during lunch and dinner hours. Biryani is what everyone comes here for, and while it's decent, honestly it feels a bit overhyped given the reputation it carries. There are other places in the old city that match or even beat it. Hygiene is a concern though, the place could do with a lot more cleanliness and maintenance. For a hotel with this much history and footfall, the hygiene standards should be much better. Parking is also very limited, so better to come by auto or bike if possible.
Undoubtedly the best chicken biryani I've ever had. It was a bit hot inside but the food was lovely enough to make us forget all that. We went here only bcz shadab was crowded and I don't regret it a single bit. Loved it
Here’s a Google review you can use for Nayab Restaurant: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best places in Hyderabad for authentic local flavors! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The biryani and traditional dishes were absolutely delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. The service was quick despite the crowd, and the lively atmosphere adds to the experience. A must-visit spot if you’re looking to enjoy authentic Hyderabadi cuisine. Highly recommended!
Let’s be honest: the food is actually pretty good—classic, warm, freshly cooked Hyderabad flavor. But let's talk about the vibe. If you have even a mild hint of OCD or consider sanitizing your hands a hobby, please run in the opposite direction. The "hygiene" here operates strictly on a "Trust in God and your childhood immunizations" policy. If your white blood cells are ready for a heavy-weight championship battle, you’ll love it. Go for the food, stay for the adrenaline rush.
