On the last day of May, being a Sunday, we, a group of friends (and foodies) went to Mandi@36 in Jubilee Hills (beside Peddamma Gudi metro station) for what can be called a hogging rampage!!! We ordered many items, and ate to our hearts' content. We ordered -- 1. Black Pepper Mutton-- This is very close to the Ghee Roast recipe, though heavy on black pepper. I had had this dish earlier too. This time, though the dish tasted as good as before, the mutton pieces are dry and chewy. 2. Metre Kabab-- Easily the showstopper for that afternoon. Excellent in taste and presentation both. 3. Al-Faham-- Another Mandi@36 special-- this is basically grilled chicken topped with their inhouse special sauce. It tastes heavenly every time, and this time was no exception. 4. Faham (Chicken) Mandi and Mutton Juicy Mandi-- Well, when the name of the place starts with Mandi, then you expect it to be really good; but sadly, the rice didn't meet our expectation this time. It was not as tasty as I remember it to be. 5. Kunafa-- This was also good. Overall it was a mixed experience-- the starters were really good, but the main attraction-- Mandi-- was not up to the mark. Their service and hospitality was top-notch. Everything was available just a shout away. Per head cost came close to Rs 1050 (don't remember the exact amount).

See all on GoogleI had Mutton juicy marg mandi half (₹879). It had 3 big mutton pieces with a very good amount of rice. The mutton pieces were soft, tender and very juicy. The mandi rice had decent meat flavour but along with dry grapes and nuts it was flavourful and yum. Paired with mandi rice, mayonnaise and tomato purée the mandi was amazing. The rice is limited but the quantity should be sufficient for 2 people. The service and ambience both were good. We sat down in Arabic style and ate. Overall a very good experience and definitely worth trying out when in Hyderabad!
From the entrance till exit everything was perfect for us and there special starter is a must try item when anyone is going to vist. All the items inn the menu was not available due to the current gas situation. We odered fried chicken, mutton and barbeque mandi and the rice and the meat was well cooked and the rice was is sufficient quantity. The service received was also perfect gentlemen servicing. Overall me and my gang left with a satisfied soul😌😌.
Came here with my family hoping to have a good dinner because I’ve been hearing a lot about this place on social media, but honestly the experience turned out pretty disappointing and this might be my last visit here. First thing, the place felt way too dimly lit and there was some weird smell around our table, so we had to shift. Even after changing tables, nobody attended us for quite a few minutes. When the waiter finally came, it honestly felt like she barely knew the menu. Every time we asked something about the starters, the answers were vague and it almost felt like she was trying to avoid the questions. We ended up ordering the special starter she recommended. After waiting quite a while, the food arrived and was just dropped on the table without even a proper check. When we touched the food, it was completely cold, almost like it had been sitting out for a long time. When we asked about it, the response we got was basically “it’s supposed to be like that.” No explanation, no effort, nothing. We asked them to replace it and waited again for a really long time before they brought it back slightly heated. The whole time, nobody was really paying attention to the table. We had already ordered the main course along with the starter because we didn’t want delays, and I understand busy restaurants can take time. But what annoyed me was the lack of basic service. Our starter plates were still lying there long after we finished and nobody bothered clearing the table until we repeatedly called someone. Our Special Mutton Mandi arrived and only then the table was cleaned. Even while ordering the main course, the staff couldn’t properly explain what was on the menu or what goes well with what. The attitude honestly made the experience worse. After finishing, we ordered dessert. Even then, the used plates were left sitting on the table for a long time. The only thing that came quickly was the dessert itself. Overall, the food was okay at best. But the service was really poor and the atmosphere felt dull compared to all the hype and reviews I had seen online.
Good taste but the barista on the Mandi was very less as compared to it's branch at Gachibowli, Ambience os not that great but not bad as well. The chicken served to us was a bit dry. Rest all OK, service is good and quick.
