This place is not just about the food but all in all its a wonderful experience. We had the set menu. It was extremely tasty. Every starter, every main course was really good. The laccha paratha and paneer kulcha was so soft and it really glided through. Service felt like royalty. Even the crockery items were topnotch. Definitely a little pricey. However really enjoyed it. But they should improve on their billing systems. We went as part of corporate event and bill generating became an issue. From such an esteemed royal place, we expect a minimum of e-generated bills. So need to improve that aspect.

See all on GoogleWe recently visited The Minar, Jewel of Nizam at Golconda Hotels with our family, and it turned out to be a wonderful dining experience. One thing that could definitely be improved is the reservation process. I had made an online reservation but never received a confirmation call. When we arrived on the weekend, we were disappointed to learn that no tables were available despite the booking. We had to make another reservation and return on next day. It was an inconvenience, and I hope the management streamlines the reservation system to avoid such situations for future guests. That said, our second visit was absolutely worth it. The restaurant has a beautiful royal ambiance that reflects the rich heritage of Hyderabad. The atmosphere is elegant, comfortable and perfect for family dinners or special occasions. We started with a vegetarian starter, followed by the signature Patthar Ka Gosht, which was simply outstanding. The meat was incredibly tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. For the main course, we ordered Paneer Makhan Masala along with a selection of freshly baked breads, and every dish was delicious. The Virgin Piña Colada was refreshing and one of the best mocktails we had during our visit. The prices are slightly on the higher side, but the quality of the food, presentation, ambiance, and overall dining experience make it worthwhile. Overall, we had a memorable dining with our family. If the restaurant improves its reservation management, the experience would be nearly perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Hyderabadi cuisine in a luxurious setting.
After hearing so much hype about this place we finally had a chance to actually go over and try for ourselves today. Setting is great, on top of a purpose built tower on the banks of Gandipet with stunning 360 views. The decor is stylish and exotic and so is the menu. Sadly, it all ends there, the food is average and hugely overpriced and the service is terrible. We had a booking for 2.30 PM and were made to hang on outside till almost 3.00PM before our table was ready. After being seated menus, welcome drink and a tray of papad arrived promptly and we were left alone for ages, nobody bothered to come take our order. Finally we hailed a waiter, Akash, who kindly took our order. We ordered their signature non veg Kebab platter with some naam which took 30 mins to arrive. When it did we were stunned to see random pieces of kebab piled high on a sizzling plate, so much for presemtstion or any explanation on which piece was what. At Rs. 2,500 you'd expext, at the very least a decent presentation and perhaps some chutneys to go with it instead we had to improvise with the papad chutney. The kebabs themselves looked all the same and apart from the sheekh kebab they all tasted the same and the taste was sub average. Overall it was an abaolute waste of time and money, street side kebab vendors do better tasting kebabs than this place.
A royal dining experience with stunning ambience and old Hyderabad charm. The views, live music, and grand Nizami setup truly make the evening feel special. The kebabs and Hyderabadi dishes were flavourful, though a few items felt slightly off. Service was courteous and the overall experience was memorable despite a bit of delay during peak hours. A great place for special occasions, especially if you want to enjoy the heritage vibe of Hyderabad. Worth visiting at least once for the ambience and experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently visited Jewel of Nizam with high expectations, especially given its reputation and beautiful setting. While the ambience truly lives up to the hype, the overall dining experience was disappointing. The property is stunning, with elegant interiors and a royal atmosphere that makes it a great place for a special evening. Unfortunately, the service did not match the standard you’d expect from a premium restaurant. The waitstaff were rarely visible on the dining floor and were mostly inside, which meant we had to repeatedly look for someone whenever we needed anything. Even something as basic as getting drinking water required multiple follow-ups. Throughout the meal, we found ourselves waiting for assistance rather than enjoying the experience. The food itself was average. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly didn’t justify the price point or the restaurant’s reputation. A place with such a premium ambience should ideally deliver equally impressive food and attentive service. Overall, Jewel of Nizam excels in ambience but falls short on hospitality and service. I hope the management focuses on improving staff attentiveness and guest experience, because with such a beautiful venue, better service could make a significant difference.
