If you're in Hyderabad, Alpha Hotel is a great place to experience the city's famous Irani chai and evening snacks. I tried the Osmania and Chand biscuits, and both were fresh and tasty. The Irani chai was good, although it tasted pretty much like the classic Irani chai you'll find at many popular places. I also tried the Dil Pasand, a sweet pastry filled with pineapple. Personally, I didn't enjoy it because I'm not a fan of pineapple and ordered it by mistake. If you don't like pineapple either, I'd recommend skipping the Dil Pasand. There isn't a seating area for snacks, so most people enjoy their tea and snacks while standing. However, if you're visiting for biryani, there's a proper seating area inside the restaurant. The place is almost always crowded, especially with people coming just for the famous Irani chai. I also ordered the egg biryani for takeaway, and it was absolutely delicious—full of flavor, generous in quantity, and completely worth the money. Overall, Alpha Hotel is definitely worth visiting for its authentic Hyderabad vibe, tasty snacks, Irani chai, and excellent biryani.

See all on GoogleThis establishment is recognized as one of the city's most historic hotels, situated in a bustling central location. It is highly regarded for its biryani and snack offerings, making it a popular dining destination. The staff provides excellent service, though visitors should anticipate a consistently high volume of patrons. Due to its central urban setting, on-site parking is not provided. Overall, it offers a commendable experience.
Had an average experience at Alpha Hotel & Restaurant. The food was decent and the prices are reasonable, but the overall experience could be better. The place can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, and the ambience and cleanliness could use some improvement. The location right opposite Secunderabad Railway Station is definitely convenient. Overall, it’s an okay option for a quick meal, especially if you’re around the station, but nothing exceptional.
Famous for its Hyderabadi Biryani, especially mutton biryani. Popular breakfast items like Keema Roti and Osmania biscuits with Irani chai. Affordable prices and generous portions. Convenient location opposite Secunderabad Railway Station. 👎 Common complaints Can get very crowded during meal times. Service may be slower during peak hours. Some diners feel the taste is not as consistent as it was in earlier years. Zomato Overall experience 🍛 Food: 4.2/5 💰 Value for money: 4.3/5 🧹 Cleanliness: 3.7/5 😊 Overall: 3.8/5 If you're visiting for the first time, the most recommended items are: Mutton Biryani Chicken Biryani Keema Roti Irani Chai Osmania Biscuits
