"Exceptional dining experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was freshly prepared, full of rich flavors, and presented beautifully. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients in every bite. The service was top-tier, the staff were welcoming and attentive, and the overall ambiance made the meal even more enjoyable. Hands down one of the best food experiences I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and great vibes!" At Anna Nagar

See all on GoogleA fantastic meal across the board with top-notch flavors. Had an extensive meal here and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and consistency coming out of the kitchen. Almost every dish hit the mark. Caribbean Calypso: Absolute standout of the meal. The meatballs were finely minced, perfectly seasoned with herbs and spices, fried just right, and paired with a finger-licking good sauce. Chicken Pesto Pasta: Beautifully prepared. The pesto was fragrant and rich, the cheese added great creaminess, and the accompanying garlic bread was delightfully crisp. Chilli Garlic Chicken Fried Rice: Generous portion with a strong, aromatic garlic punch. The chicken pieces were tender and cooked spot-on. Wok-Tossed Beef: Very rich flavor profile and cooked to ideal tenderness. Noticeable hint of fish sauce/flavor in the toss, but it didn’t detract from the dish at all. Strawberry Cloud Cake: Soft, spongy, and bursting with rich flavor. High quality and a genuinely delicious dessert. Lotus Biscoff Shake: Solid shake with an intense Biscoff flavor, though strictly for serious sweet tooths as it leans very sweet. Overall, a great dining experience with memorable dishes. Definitely worth a visit!
Urban Spatula has a relaxed, distinctive setup, with a café downstairs and the restaurant upstairs. I appreciated how approachable the service team was and how willing they were to offer useful recommendations without being pushy. It felt like an easy place to settle into, whether stopping by the café or heading up for a meal. I’d happily return.
I recently visited this hotel with high expectations, especially because the ambiance is actually quite good. The place looks well-designed, clean, and has a pleasant atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in for a nice dining experience. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The food quality was extremely disappointing and honestly unacceptable. We ordered malai tandoori chicken, and to our shock, it was served raw and undercooked. This is not just a small mistake — serving uncooked chicken is a serious health risk and completely irresponsible from a restaurant of this standard. It clearly shows a lack of basic quality control and kitchen discipline. Hoping it was just a one-time issue, we also tried the chicken Manchurian, but that turned out to be equally bad. The gravy tasted overwhelmingly like bottled tomato sauce, almost like a whole bottle of Kissan tomato sauce was poured into it. There was no balance of flavours, no authentic taste — just a sweet, artificial, and very unpleasant experience. It’s very disappointing when a place that invests so much in ambiance completely fails in the most important aspect — food quality and safety. Serving uncooked chicken is not something that can be ignored or justified. It raises serious concerns about hygiene standards and overall kitchen practices. Overall, while the ambiance might attract you initially, the food is a complete letdown. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before dining here, especially when it comes to non-vegetarian dishes. A restaurant can improve taste over time, but food safety is something that should never be compromised.
Urban Spatula is one of those Anna Nagar comfort spots where the ambience does half the talking. Warm lights, wooden interiors and a menu that jumps from kebabs to pasta without hesitation. Not chasing fine-dining tags, but a dependable place for family dinners, casual meetups and office gatherings when everyone wants something different on the table. Urban Club Sandwich – 9/10 Comes with fries and ketchup on the side. Packed with chicken, egg, cheese, cucumber and tomatoes. The layers hold together well without feeling heavy. Easily one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Chennai. Char Kway Teow Chicken Noodles – 7/10 | ₹450 Originally wanted to try their Pad Thai Noodles, but that’s temporarily off the menu. Settled for the Char Kway Teow Chicken Noodles instead. A spicy sauce coats the noodles, while crunchy broccoli and cabbage add texture. Decent portion size and flavour, though it didn’t quite match the high set by the sandwich. TasteRx says: Go for the Club Sandwich alone and you won’t be disappointed. The noodles are a decent supporting act, but the sandwich is the reason I’d return.
