See all on GoogleTime Cafe in Nungambakkam turned out to be a lovely little discovery for us. It is a cosy, zen spot tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the city & the constant honking. It has a relaxed cafe-and-boutique feel, the kind of place where you can sit comfortably, chat, sip coffee, and enjoy food that is thoughtfully prepared. We tried the chicken sheekh kebabs, fish fingers, ginger-spiced tea, cold Spanish lattes, pasta Alfredo & their chocolate cake which was truly to die for. What made the experience even better was speaking to the owner, who came across as a very humble and sincere gentleman. He explained that they do not use white sugar or maida in their preparations, and even source for country chicken. The pasta Alfredo too was made with wheat, which was a pleasant surprise. The food had a very clean, wholesome taste without compromising on flavour. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared , tasty, comforting, & guilt-free in the best way. A nice spot for good food, coffee, natural desserts and a relaxed cafe experience.
The place and ambience were lovely, especially with the kittens you could play with. The sandwich and chilli chicken were delicious.
Time Cafe is a really nice, laid-back place to chill with friends. The ambience is calm and cozy, making it perfect for long conversations and relaxed hangouts. We opted for the Japanese-style seating, which was quite comfortable and added a unique touch to the overall experience. We ordered garlic bread, french fries, flat bread, and spaghetti pasta. The food did take some time to arrive, but it was definitely worth the wait, everything was well-prepared and tasty. Toward the end, we ordered onion rings, which unfortunately turned out to be too oily. This was the only dish that we felt needed improvement. One thing to note is that the vegetarian options are quite limited, so expanding the veg menu would make the place even better. That said, the staff were courteous, polite, and very responsive whenever we asked for clarifications or assistance, which is always appreciated. They also offer valet parking, which is a big plus given the Nungambakkam location. Overall, it’s a good café with a pleasant vibe, friendly service, and a great place to unwind and spend quality time. Would definitely consider visiting again.
The desserts were good, and I enjoyed them. However, I was quite disappointed with the savoury items. The chicken burger had a very strong egg-like smell, which was unusual and concerning. It honestly felt like the chicken might not have been fresh, and after some time, I started experiencing stomach pain. We also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, but it was disappointing as it contained egg, which was not mentioned in the description. There were also very few pieces of chicken, with mostly sauces and other fillings, which was not what we expected. I hope the team takes this feedback seriously and looks into the quality, freshness, and ingredient descriptions of the food items. I would love to visit again for the desserts but I hope these issues are addressed for a better overall experience.
