The gang and I went for a late afternoon lunch here. For starters, we had the vol au vent créole au Poulet - a round, flaky puff pastry filled with chicken, sauce and topped with cheese. The sun-dried tomatoes on top added a nice, tangy kick to it. Then we had the Poulet Absolute with Brioche bread which was recommended by the staff as something spicy that’d suit our Indian taste buds. The dish was a decent sandwich with soft bread…but spicy? I think not. The fries were well made though…nice and crisp. Then came the Crêpe salée with Poulet Silken - I must say, the size of a regular would suffice for 2, it was huge but only the bottom half had stuffing in it. Most of these dishes were bland. Either they needed more flavourful sauces or more seasoning. I understand that European cuisine tends to be bland, so you can try if you want to eat a new cuisine. I really enjoyed the Crème brûlée speculoos which was topped with crushed lotus biscoff. It was very light and quite delicious. The caramelised crust added a good texture to it. The menu is a bit pricey. My most favourite part about this restaurant was the ambience. This place has vintage cameras, gramophones, telephones, clocks and so many other things lining its shelves and walls, and I could lose track of time staring at every antique piece and the details on them

See all on GoogleWe tried their creme brulee, crepe salee(chicken), vol au vent(mushroom), fettucine pates(sauce creole). All the dishes were good and freshly made. You get a soft drink with some of the main dishes. Ambience wise it's very quiet and easy to talk but cannot fit large groups. Suitable for groups of 4. Definitely recommend this place.
The Huge Tagline on the main board outside should be ONLY FRENCH FOOD here.., so that the French food lovers dont have to search elsewhere, there are other options too in the city but they will cost atleast double of what it costs here..! Anyway as a normal food lover of all cuisines around the world, i am used to going to multi-cuisines cafes / restaurants where the Management usual thinking is since different kind of people are there even in a single group or family, the also have to keep different cuisines to cater to all tastes, for examples, nowadays in a Italian cafe u even get burgers, pizza, french fries, momos, rolls, fried rice, noodles, sandwiches, even indian cuisines and also pastas....but in this Cafe, its only French, that itself shows the confidence or motivation.. Away from the hustle bustle of Anna nagar and tucked in a peaceful lane and for a quiet time with your loves ones or family.. PS. - Since we had our full, we requested the rest to be packed and it was neatly packed and given, we kept it in fridge, warmed it the next morning and had it for breakfast and it was more delicious..(the last picture I attached is of our next day breakfast) Retro ambience, short waiting period, freshly prepared food Good staff and decent pricing... Enjoy once a fortnight peaceful time in Anna nagar with your loved ones..they will defnitely be happy with you.
Sucré et Salé has such a lovely, homely vibe. It honestly feels more like having authentic, comforting food at home than eating at a restaurant! Good food, cozy place, and really friendly staff. If you’re around, definitely give this place a try!
Really lovely cozy French Cafe which I discovered through Instagram They have a wide variety of sweet and savoury crepes,as well as baguette and brioche sandwiches, tartines and vol au vents too I had the Poulet OG,which is basically a french crepe stuffed with tons of grilled chicken bits and lettuce with dressing, all done in French style of course and the White Chocolate Biscoff crepe, which was stuffed to the core with white chocolate and Biscoff spread You would TOTALLY fall in love with it if you are a crazy Biscoff lover like me and yes,you do fall in love with certain foods 😅☺️ PS :- They ask for payment beforehand so, don't get shocked when you order and the order is to be placed at the counter when you have made up ur mind
