Had lunch at Junior Kuppanna, Anna Nagar, after seeing their outside banner mentioning Chicken Meals at ₹320. Based on that displayed price, I ordered the chicken meals. However, when the bill came, I was charged ₹420. When I questioned the cashier about the difference, he simply said that the banner had been displayed by mistake, that they would change it, and that I should pay ₹420. I explained that if the actual price was ₹420, I could have chosen another dish or even another restaurant. But he repeatedly insisted that I pay the higher amount. When I said that I would mention this experience in a Google review, his response was simply, “No worries, do that.” The issue is not just the ₹100 difference. If a restaurant displays a price outside the premises, customers naturally expect that price to be honoured. A pricing mistake should be handled professionally, especially when the customer has ordered based on the displayed price. I normally tip around ₹50 to the serving staff after having a meal, but this kind of customer handling from a reputed restaurant was very disappointing. The food was only average in my experience, and compared with nearby places such as Erode Amman Mess and Madurai Veeran, which were quite busy when I visited, this Anna Nagar Junior Kuppanna outlet appeared relatively quiet. Please focus on improving the food quality, pricing transparency and, most importantly, the customer experience. A reputed restaurant should handle such situations professionally rather than simply asking the customer to pay the higher amount.

Service was okay — staff were polite and responsive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The taste was below average, and the portions seemed a bit smaller than usual. Chicken 65 Biryani, turned out to be plain biryani with chicken fry on the side. I was expecting them to be a bit more… united 🫤 My bad.

1#Food : We ordered two Biryani (Chicken and Mutton). Served very cold cold, staff didn't care to serve warm/hot food. Biryani taste was not good. We left 50% in the plate itself. 2#Water: Purposefully selling 500ml for about 40Rs, why not even 1Ltr water bottle ? 3#Overall, I felt - restaurant is just 'show'. On restaurant wall, there were combos, they couldn't deliver that also. 4#Satisfaction : Not worth for the money 859Rs for 2 persons. Disappointing experience. Worst. 5#Visit again ? - No way, Never again & wont recommend to others.

JK Restaurant has always been an all-time favourite spot. The food is consistently very good, and I really enjoyed the experience. The mattu kozhi rasam, chicken biryani, Chukka briyani and JK signature dishes stood out for their rich flavour and authentic taste.The hospitality is warm and welcoming, making the visit even more pleasant. A great place to enjoy satisfying food with good service. This review was made in connection with a Toast promotion.

We had a very good experience in Junior Kuppanna Anna Nagar, it was busy waiting outside during our visit but the Manager gave first priority to elders and kids where we got impressed with junior Kuppanna, taste was super, customer service was excellent need to improve in ambience little bit, looking forward for the next visit
