Review: Great Restaurant, But Issue with Bakery Service I would like to share my experience with Buhari Mughal. The restaurant itself is excellent — the infrastructure is truly impressive, the ambiance is well-maintained, and the food quality is very good. Overall, dining here has always been a satisfying experience. However, we faced a problem specifically with the bakery section. We ordered 4 Black Forest cakes, but after reaching home and opening the box, we found that only 1 cake was inside. We went back to the bakery and spoke with Haja Kamal, He responded politely and assured us that the matter would be resolved soon. He promised that the issue will be rectified after discussing with the bakery persons and instructed me to send the bill to his WhatsApp regarding the issue. I did the same, but till now He is not yet seen the MSG, Unfortunately, the issue has still not been rectified. While the restaurant experience remains great, this incident with the bakery service was disappointing. I kindly request customers to double-check their bakery orders before leaving the shop to avoid such situations. Edited on 25-04-2026 (10:33 am) :- The issue pertained related to Buhari Bakery they refunded 435 Rupees only to my account. Mr. Haja Kamal saved and give life to his words. I had a wonderful dining experience at Buhari Restaurant, Mount Road, Chennai. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavour. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive, providing excellent customer service. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and everything was well organised. Overall, I am very happy with the food and hospitality. I highly recommend Buhari Restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Chennai. Keep up the excellent work!

Had an amazing Chicken Biryani and Mutton Gravy—the taste was superb! 🤤 The Biryani comes with raita, spicy gravy, and a sweet dessert, which makes it a complete and satisfying meal. The restaurant has a ground-floor section where the prices are quite reasonable, while the first-floor outlet is more expensive. However, the first floor has a much better ambience and is air-conditioned, making it a more comfortable dining experience.

Been to Buhari mutlipe times and have always had either dum tea or zafraani tea. Zafraani tea has a lot of zafraan (saffron) in it which is really good. The tea itself here is excellent. But when paired with the Persian Maska Bun, it makes for a wonderful combo. The service is good here. They ensure all food is served timely and are happy to answer questions if any.

Recently visited Buhari and tried their Red Velvet cake, Apple Pie, Chicken Tikka Roll, and Veg Roll. The desserts were the highlight of the visit. The Red Velvet was soft, fresh, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The Apple Pie was equally impressive, with just the right amount of sweetness and a pleasant texture. The Veg Roll and Chicken Tikka Roll were good, with a mild and subtle flavor. They weren’t overly spicy, which makes them suitable for those who prefer a lighter taste. The ambience was pleasant and comfortable. However, the service could definitely be improved as it wasn’t up to the mark during my visit. Overall, a decent experience, especially for dessert lovers.
