Had a great dining experience at Ambur Canteen. The food was delicious, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the visit. The staff were courteous, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout. The pricing is a little on the higher side, but the quality of the food makes it worth considering. One area that could be improved is the infrastructure, especially the air conditioning and overall dining ambience. Investing in a more comfortable seating environment would significantly enhance the overall experience. Overall, a great place for authentic food, and I would definitely visit again. If you'd like, I can also make it sound more casual or more enthusiastic.

See all on GoogleWe tried Muttoon Bada Gosht (9/10) is great but quantity is less for price. Mutton Briyani (10/10) must try it's Light compare to other briyani in Chennai. Chicken BBQ (6/10) is sweet in taste so I don't like it.
Biryani at Ambur Canteen is definitely a must-try. The taste is really good and flavorful. However, the pricing feels a bit on the higher side for the portion served. Paid ₹395 and received only two pieces of mutton, which was a little disappointing. Overall, great taste but the value for money could be better.
Visited Ambur Canteen recently and had a mixed experience. The mutton biryani was quite good with nice flavor and well-cooked meat. However, the chicken kurma felt very average and could definitely be improved in terms of taste and richness. One thing they do really well is the quantity, the portions are generous and worth the price. Overall, a decent place if you are specifically going for the biryani.
Food is expensive but quantity is very low. For that cost they can increase the portion size. Taste wise it's authentic. Service was not up to the mark. For two of us our bill was for ₹2000 they also add service charges 10% in your bill which is optional. Would recommend this place only if they increase the portion size. Firni was good but would suggest them instead of basmati rice can your authentic seeraga samba (jeera rice) to enhance the taste.
