The mutton biryani here is pure love and an absolute must-try! The flavors are spot on, and serving it on a fresh banana leaf adds that authentic traditional touch that elevates the entire dining experience. We also tried the mutton balls—personally, I found them fairly average, though my friend really enjoyed them. Still, the biryani alone makes this place well worth a visit!

See all on GoogleNagarjuna is one of those famous Andhra-style restaurants in Bangalore that we’ve always heard about, so we finally visited the Indiranagar outlet last week for lunch. We went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed! The restaurant has multiple floors and even the area around the parking was quite crowded. We waited for around 10 minutes before getting a table. We ordered two full meals, which were served on a banana leaf. Once we were seated, everything started coming in hot and fresh — rice, sambar, rasam, poriyal, buttermilk, payasam, papad and the other accompaniments. The papad was unlimited as well. We started with the podi and avakkai, and honestly, that combination was amazing! 🔥 But the biggest highlight of the entire meal for me was the koottu. It was SO good that I had it twice and kept asking for more. 😍 The sambar was also really tasty, the rasam was decent, and the buttermilk was refreshing. They also served a nice thick curd separately along with payasam. Overall, it was a proper satisfying, heavy South Indian meal. I ate so much that I went home and literally had a good nap afterwards! 😂❤️ Coming to the price, it is definitely on the expensive side — one full meal costs around ₹350+. But if you go really hungry and want to have a proper unlimited-style Andhra meal, you can definitely make the most of it. Overall, a very filling and satisfying lunch experience. If you’re someone who enjoys Andhra-style meals, Nagarjuna is definitely a place worth trying at least once.
Food is amazing but very spicy. I ordered chicken roast that turned out to be very spicy and salty. Staff politely replaced it with chicken kebab. Loved the meals and biryani. I would like to visit again.
Had a nice experience at Nagarjuna Restaurant, Indiranagar. The food was delicious, the ambience was good, and the service was quick. **Sai Krishna** assisted us very well and was very polite and helpful. Overall, a great experience. Would definitely visit again!
One of Bengaluru's most popular destinations for authentic Andhra cuisine, Nagarjuna has been serving its signature dishes since 1984. I had been wanting to try their popular Veg Meals, so we visited on a Sunday afternoon. As expected, the restaurant was packed. Fortunately, I had booked in advance, so getting a table wasn't an issue. The meals were served on a traditional banana leaf and included Dal (Pappu), Sambar, Rasam, one vegetable, chutney, papad, a sweet (Payasam), curd, and buttermilk. To begin with, the Dal (Pappu) with rice was good. However, the Aloo Sabji was average and didn't pair particularly well with the rice. To complement the meal, we ordered one of their dry mutton dishes. The mutton pieces were good enough and flavorful, though not exceptionally tender. The preparation was slightly dry, and a little more juiciness would have made the dish even better. The curd and buttermilk were fresh, while the Sambar and Rasam complemented the rice well. The Payasam was decent and rounded off the meal nicely. One thing to note is that extra curd is charged separately, and the staff informs you about this while taking your order. I'm not sure if the same applies to the sweet. Even though the restaurant was completely packed, there was no compromise on the service. The staff managed the crowd efficiently, and the overall dining experience was smooth. Overall, while the experience was good, I somehow didn't leave feeling completely satisfied with the meal. A few dishes could have been better, and I felt there was room for improvement. I'll give Nagarjuna another try on my next visit and hope to have a better experience.
